National Girlfriends Month

National Girlfriends Month

Did you know that August is National Girlfriends month?

National girlfriends month celebrates special relationships around the world by paying tribute to all our girlfriends. These girlfriends can be our daughters, mothers, sisters, cousins, lifelong friends,  school friends, college room-mates and work friends. They are the ones who are there for you, who you want to spent time, share your secrets, go shopping and catch up over a  glass of wine. They want to be there for you and you want to be there for them.

This years theme is women’s health and how we can support our girlfriends live a healthy lifestyle. This can be anything from supporting them to eat a healthy diet, being active with each other while having a laugh, being there for your girlfriends through whatever life has thrown at them (good times and not so good times), supporting them through pregnancy and after the bundle of joy has arrived, empowering your girlfriends while they travel on their journey to reach goals and dreams and being a great listener. All these things result in your girlfriend living a healthy, happy lifestyle.

Please check out the infographic below from Oscar Health Insurance Company. They’ve provided a guideline for our health and the measures we can take to live our best life. They’re a new health insurance provider with different tools for their members to make taking care of their health easy–like a Doctor on Call tool that allows you to speak to a doctor with any questions you have at any time of the day. If you’re interested in learning more about them, look at their health insurance plans for New Jersey and New York.
